Shawn is very competitive in his pricing, he does excellent work, the items are designed by me, (Shawn and I together). There was a time when you could find local people making quality products that lasted well. Then the big box stores and their "Lowest Price" focus, shifted purchasing east, causing local jobs and pride to decline along with quality. How many of us have bought what we thought was leather, only to find when it prematurely wore out, it was some plastic imitation. Well Shawn and his goods are the real deal. His commitment to your satisfaction is obvious. I expect the belt he made for me will last as long as the one I bought from the famous "Tilley" company and the collar we bought for Chewie, may last longer than the dog himself. And then the icing on the cake is the custom design. Why sift through goods that are "not quite right" when Shawn can let you choose how you want to look good. Just ask Chewie! Shawn made a excellent gun sling for me. Being 6ft tall I wanted a gunsling that would fit over my winter hunting clothes that was easy and fast to get on and off. Just thought I should add my two cents worth on Shawn's work. I had been looking for some time for a well made leather cartridge box to carry powder charges, bullets, percussion caps etc. for my Musketoon and Kentucky rifle and Shawn came up with a dandy which good friends gave me for Christmas. Excellent workmanship and by playing around with inserts it is also ideal for carrying 'modern' cartridges when the mood strikes! A friend gave me one of your custom belts for Christmas. I am impressed with both the strength and the quality of the leather, and the decorative craftsmanship as well. It is sturdy, exceptionally strong the likes of which I have not seen since childhood when craftsmen took a great deal of pride in their work. It is rewarding to see this level of quality and workmanship in an era where lesser quality material, volume purchasing, and off shore mass production becomes the name of the game for the sake of profit.
